Italian Merino Wool Prefelt Colors
Wool prefelt is a lightly felted sheet of wool that can be torn, shaped, or additionally felted in nuno, wet and needle felting projects.
This quality soft, even merino prefelt is made in Italy from a very fine micron of merino wool. Use it as a base and layer felt and wool roving onto it, using prefelts will save you a ton of time!
- Prefelt is slightly needled wool sheet used as a base for wet and needle felting. Not strong enough to be a fabric by itself, the felting is open and porous enough to blend beautifully with added colors. As the wool is not quite felted, it can be torn with soft, feathered edges that blend into a base layer.
- 21 micron merino wool fiber, 140 grams/meter weight.
